Regarding reason and faith.

Regarding reason and faith.

I for one do not believe a Christian has to discard his mind, to follow Christ. Here is a summation of my personal experience in the matter:

• For many years the Lord allowed me to be Investigative & reason based, in my thinking. I did not feel  faith could be solid, until I squared my beliefs with known facts. And God allowed me to do my own Investigation, to address things that I was concerned about. Things that inhibited faith and belief, at least for me. And clearly, “A sincere Truth seeker has nothing to fear from the facts.” (Paul Johnson)
• At a certain point of development, this was no longer necessary or helpful, for me however. Because, my tangible experience with the Lord profoundly grew & multiplied exponentially. So much so- that I am now entirely subjective. Clear first hand witness of the miraculous, & knowledge of experiences with God enlivened my thinking.
• Personal Divine validation is now the basis of my thought life. This is my only honest, intelligent path. I do not just believe in Christ. I KNOW CHRIST!
• His miraculous, transforming LIFE & power has dispelled doubt & developed my faith! I both SEEK & KNOW the existence of God daily! Jesus is Alive in me!

° Biblical Confirmation:

° 1 Corinthians 2:4-6…..
4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power,
5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.
6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.

° 1 Corinthians 2:15-16…..
15 The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments,
16 for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?”But we have the mind of Christ.

° 2 Timothy 1:12b…..
for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.
