The Presence of Honor in the Absence of Title

Maybe I can not help you with material things but I can

help you with good thoughts.

I was thinking today about a story in the Bible about a

servant of Abraham in Genesis chapter 24.  We are never told

the name of this servant.  All we know about him is that he was

Abraham’s oldest and most trusted servant.  He was so trusted

that Abraham delegated to him, the assignment of finding a wife

for his son Isaac.  And this servant achieved this task with joy and

excellency.  He found Rebekah.  So, I was thinking about how it is

possible to have the presence of honor, even without the absence

of title.  Thus, I guess I just want to encourage you to keep doing

your best.  We may not know the name of this great servant of

Abraham & God but still we read about his great deed of honor, even

today, thousands of years later.

May we be full of honor and strength today, even if we are

without title!
