It is such a hollow and empty task serving yourself. Many spend their whole life thinking only about personal fulfillment. The Discovery I have made is that personal fulfillment is most often discovered through seeking the benefit and Welfare of others.

Jesus, Mother Teresa, Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr, Albert Schweitzer, Billy Graham & many, many others have demonstrated that the truest honor comes not from seeking to save your life but from giving it wholeheartedly away.

The simple application of this. Is to plan to give some of your time away. Go visit inmates. Teach a free vocational class. Serve at a soup kitchen. Volunteer work for a nonprofit agency. Coach voluntarily. Teach Arts, crafts or painting. There are zillions of ways that you can give meaningfully. Find one that fits you.

I teach karate without charge. That’s my thing. Find yours and in so doing, find that the greatest magic in life is sharing it with others! Slam-
