Depending on Jesus is not a lack of self-confidence. It’s living in a state of a deep inner knowing. God moves by His Spirit & His Direction flows from His Rhema (living) knowledge to us, when we are in touch and in tune. You cannot know God’s ongoing plan, without deeply subjecting your current thoughts to Christ! ((Jn 1:1-He is His word.))
The Spirit spoke to me in a very moving dream & said “Let Go.” I did as The Holy Spirit lead & the peace was amazing. Then The Spirit spoke to me & said “Let Go more.” This resulted in one of the most profound moments of spiritual intimacy that I have ever experienced. This releasing of ourselves to The Spirit is ever needful and an ongoing part of being Christ’s disciple. So much of what’s needed to grow in Christ is yielding to the voice of The Holy Spirit. “Let go-let God!” Is a phrase that has been used much. They may be overworked words but are certainly true and seldom overemphasized, in their truest sense of being led by the sure voice of the Holy Spirit!
For a Christian to be guided by the Holy Spirit; We must think in moments of decision-with our heart. Motive & trying to do the right thing should always come first for Christ’s disciple. Trying to figure things out, without listening to Jesus is always a mistake, for us.
I hear the word surrender used often. But one surrenders to a hostile power. Therefore, I like the word submission as it relates to Jesus. Because we submit unto the Lord, as unto an all-wise, all-knowing, benevolent Creator, who knows more about the directions we should take, than we do ourselves.
Depend on Jesus. Be directed by His Holy Spirit. Subject your thoughts to Him. Let go to his Divine leading. Release your deepest motives to God. Yield to the Masters voice.
Think with your heart and put right motives first. Submit to the all-wise One, who truly knows what is best for you. Be led by the Holy Spirit.
