The story of Gideon is in Judges chapter 6. He was of the least family and he was the least one in the family And yet God raised him up and told him not to say that he was weak, but that he was going to be the mighty one that God would use to deliver His people.
Where we often only see weakness in ourselves, God can see greatness. HE can see potential where we can see only frailty. It is the vision of God that we need – not our own arrogant, short-sighted self-confidence.
When we know that it is His plan that we obey. That strength can be the faith certainty that we see that compels us to move forward. That is part of the foundation principle of true Godly growth. To “seek first” the will of God & then have faith that where He calls us to aim, He will strengthen us to achieve.
Like Gideon, when it is the call of God that compels us. We can be sure that it will be the plan of God that defines us!
