This whole blogging thing has befuddled me a little. I see them,

read them and never have really been profoundly impressed

with the whole deal.  Now the lights come on.  I get it!!  

This is where people get to share what makes them significant.

This is where the interesting, stimulating ideas that might

otherwise be unnoticed, get recorded.  This is where the

dreamers, dream. This is where the schemers, scheme.

This is where the faith planters, plant. And this is where the

idyllics, elaborate their ideals.

Blog sounds like bog. Sounds like a swamp. Sounds like a

lifeless pit. But it is in reality full of amusement, enjoyment,

stimulating ideas and profound information.

It nees to be renamed to BEAM or something. Because a

blog can be beam of light, a beaming powerful insight or a

bright beam of new truth.  Of course I guess there are those

that fill blogs with unproductive, dirty, sultry, demeaning

thoughts. This is America. That is OK. I don’t have to read

them. And I am sure not going to write them.

So I begin this blogging thing. (Actually, I have been doing

it for a while and didn’t realize it). But my blogs will exist

to open your eyes, share my heart, explode limitations &

offer praise to my Higher Power.

I can be a little callous and rough around the edges.  Sorry, I

don’t mean to be brutish or mean.  I just hate phony and

some time that’s the only way I can cut through the lies and

pretense.  I hold myself to a higher standard and if you read

my BEAMS; I will hold you to a higher standard as well.  And

if you hate my GUTS; at least I motivated you to think and feel

something you didn’t before.

So now, as a good (non-pacifist) Quaker. I am clear. I offer you my

BEAMS, blogs if you must.  I hope they fill you with good, glorious,

genuine, Godly thoughts & meaning. [& yes, I love alliteration

& word games].
