It is interesting and amazing how the Spirit of God works in your life. At certain points in your life where you have major waterloo’s, it does seem like the Spirit of God shows up in supernatural burning bush, fire from heaven events. Events that are so clear to you that God is there, that the only way you can miss them is denial and Rejection of His work.
But by far, most of time; in fact nearly all the time, the Spirit of God works in a more Majestic, almost indiscernible way. He works in our personalities. He works in our backgrounds. He works in our minds. He works in our motivations. Often times, God completely performs some major change in US, without us even realizing the work He’s doing.
These great breakthroughs wrought and designed by the Spirit of God can almost be Aha!, events. We will have some moment where we say, wow! Now, I see what You were doing. For truly, a great portion of our life can seem spiritually perplexing. If we’re honest, we may be asking ourselves at times; God where are You?! Are You listening!? And sometimes in these wondering, wandering moments, if we’re truthful, we even wonder God are You there?!
Yet to those children that He truly calls His own; the moment definitely arises and comes to be, when we clearly see what God was doing. They say the darkest night is right before the dawn. And so often it is this way in the life of a Spiritual Seeker. God will bring us to a point of Stormy Weather, where only our faith eyes can see Him.
But this is definitely the way it’s supposed to be. When Jesus was alive, even He had a moment of Temptation on the mountain with the Enemy. When the disciples were following Him, even they had a moment where the storms arose so fierce, that only the Savior walking across the water could comfort them. And never forget that the cross came before The Resurrection. So it seems, that it is a matter of design…… that we must go through some things, before we find the bright truth of God’s design.
So when it seems that the hand of God is imperceptible: Fear not! Remain a faith-filled Seeker! It is most likely, and that very time of darkness and doubt that God is preparing to unleash His mightiest, most caring and most beautiful work in your life!
