It’s not Christmas. It’s not her birthday. And it’s not Valentine’s. But I want to give a shout out to my most special friend on Earth, my wife Dawn Carter. She is my sweetheart!

Some terms don’t seem to fit their meaning. For instance. People are all the time going around saying, wow that’s badddddd. When what they really mean is that’s gooooood. But then some terms seem to perfectly represent their implied meaning. Sweetheart, is one such word example, when it comes to my wife.

Dawn works all the time. She runs her own little flea market business. She works with her brother Ricky on his plant nursery. She sells at the farmers market for him. And she has an unending set of projects, that she’s working on around the home. She is committed to our good, certainly a sign of a sweetheart!

On top of working each day, she tirelessly takes care of her 95 year old mother,. She is there absolutely consistently there for her, whether anybody notices or not. She Faithfully takes good daily care of her. She doesn’t do it because it’s expected. She does it just because that’s who she is. That takes A sweetheart, if I’ve ever heard of one.

Furthermore, she is absolutely there for her children. More than they or I can tell you. She selflessly sacrifices for her children. I could fill volumes , telling you how she does this. She certainly demonstrates a sweetheart in her love for them.

And then on top of all that, she’s married to this minister guy, who expects her to be one heart and mind with him and all of his duties in Christian service. Whether it’s prepare the house for guests, or leading singing, or be present at yet another meeting; she is tirelessly there for this guy. She even jumps in and joins his karate club, just to show her faithfulness and support. Yes you guessed it oh, this guy is me. And certainly she demonstrates a sweetheart to this guy, through all of this!

Dawn is the rarest kind of soul. She doesn’t just do good. She is good!!! She is true to the Core. She is the most consistently honest person that I know. I never have to worry about getting a big head, being married to my lovely wife, because she knows how to tell me the truth and keep me in my place, which is with my eyes on Jesus. I never have to worry about her faithfulness, because she is entirely true in her heart! Being honest inside and out definitely indicates her sweetheart!

I tried when my children were small, to teach them to do things for other people and let nobody see them do it. And then just go away and watch and enjoy the fruit of seeing people have a pleasant discovery. Dawn is the master of this kind of mind and heart! She is always doing things of beauty and seldom asking for recognition. Whether it’s putting flowers on my parents grave. Or hiding a Snow White in the boughs of the tree for me to find each Christmas, in an incredibly, beautiful tree, she decorated. Or more examples than I can mention. She does so many truly lovely things. So many, That often I’m the one discovering some pleasant surprise of kindness done for me. That she has done with her careful consideration and conscientiousness, without fanfare or attention. Yes my lovely wife proves the essence of this good word. She has a beautiful sweet ❤. She IS a wonderful sweetheart! I love her so….
