Have faith in your courage and courage in your faith. In the Old Testament, when There Were Ten Thousand to go against the enemy. There were too many. God said send them down to the river. And those that lapped like a dog does, those 300 were the only ones that God kept. We often think that our strength is our numbers. But our strength is truly in the power and presence of God. Our strength is not numerical but spiritual. No matter how many or how few we are, our power is in the Lord and in the strength of His might. We need not rely on the world’s standards.
When God asked for more, most time He’s asking for more of us not a greater number of us. Or if there is to be a greater number of us. He wants all of those who serve, to serve Him completely, so that He can use them more mightily.
Worldly standards are always that the more in Number, the more strength. But in the Spirit, it is not the more numbers but the more in dedication, the more in submission, the more in harmony with God.
God made them reduce their numbers, so that those who are remaining would count more completely on Him. God wants this from us today.
God God told Gideon to “Rise up mighty man of Valor.” Not because of the number of men that he had but because of his willingness to serve God with whatever he had.
Though he was few in number, yet he was mighty and faith. There was strength in his courage and courage in his faith. God wants that kind of might from us today. That through His Spirit we can achieve great things the scripture says not by might and not by power but by my Spirit saith the Lord, and then this last day God wants to use a people that will allow him to demonstrate Himself by their yieldedness.
