The Light Still Shines

To Center on The Light. You must look to The Light.

1st Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

The essential ingredient of being a Believer is to be full of light. The primary characteristic of a Christian is to be in God’s Marvelous Light!

In this dark day in which we live. There is so much animosity, hate, bitterness, jealousy, Envy, greed, hostility, impurity and selfishness that it may seem to sound like there is no light. But I have learned, that The Light Still Shines!

2 ways to get out of the woods at night

A- Have a light, where are you playing to go as a directional point of reference.

B. Have a powerful Searchlight, that you can aim to see and avoid obstacles.

In a world that is so dark with uncleanness, violence and misdirection, how do we know the light still shines?

1- The light still shines while Jesus is in the world by his Spirit or through his followers.

John 9:5

5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

2- The light still shines while the Inspiration of the Scriptures is still in this world.

Psalms 119:105

105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

3- The light still shines while we let the Lord Jesus shine it through us!

Matthew 5:16

16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

4- The light still shines, when anyone truly decides to follow Christ.

John 8:12

12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

5- The light still shines while the lot is still with us and people’s hearts can be turned and have not turned themselves completely over to darkness. (A sad truth).

John 12:35-37

35 Then Jesus told them, “You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going. 36 Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light.” When he had finished speaking, Jesus left and hid himself from them. 37 Even after Jesus had performed so many signs in their presence, they still would not believe in Him.

Luke 11: 34 & 35

34 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy,your body also is full of darkness. 35 See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness.

6- The light still shines and always will in the Eternal City of God.

Rev. 21:23

23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.

7- The light still shines as long as we will recognize that Jesus I’m self was the True Light.

2nd Cor. 4:4 –
In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

In John 8:12 Jesus applies the title to himself while debating with the Jews and states: I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of lif2nd Cor. 4:4

8- The light still shines when it is hidden by the stormy clouds, for you and I, (who have The Word In Our ❤ hearts.

In fact that is the function of the light, to dispel the Doom and Gloom and bring the eternal glory of the message of our Lord and His love.

We are all in darkness, until we allow him to shine his light on us.

2nd Peter 1:9

And we have something more sure, the prophetic word, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts,

The sun also shines when it rains. It is only hidden from view, by the clouds. Often in our lives, it may seem like God’s Light is not shining on us, in seasons trial & cloudy horizons. But God’s love is still there, all the while. It is the knowing that the sun still exists, even when hidden from view that helps us through the storms. Get to know God in such a life transforming way, through Christ, that even the severest storm can not diminish your faith and trust in Him! THE LIGHT STILL SHINES

1- The light still shines while Jesus is in the world by his Spirit or through his followers.
