Age is a peculiar notion to all of us. A puzzle we must all piece together.
If you have honest truthfulness with yourself, you know age will eventually come. Yet, each of us thinks we will know more when we finally get there, than is genuinely likely.
And still, each one who does make it to the sage of the rocking chair, does still wonder why the young do not understand more than they are apt to know.
It is the Quandary of the Ages.
I’ve been pondering this lately as I look back on the miles I’ve traveled. Our youth championed our independence and our middle years our strength. Only to finally discover that “sweet reverent knowledge” was none of those seasons & yet a gift from surviving them all. I realize my cup is sacredly full now. Not because I knew so much at any part of the path, but because a Divine hand has lead me all the way.
