Ephesians 3:20-21
20Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
As I read this passage, this morning, I saw it in a new way. I must have read this passage a hundred times but like so much of God’s Word, it becomes new, when the Holy Spirit speaks to you about it.

Sometimes, people act as if they offend God to ask great things from Him. Nothing could be further from the truth. This passage makes so plain that the Great God we serve is able to do incredibly more than anything that we can ask or imagine. And often He does. I cannot count the times that God has shown up in my life, and done something greater than what I asked Him for.

The last part of the verse gives the needed context for expecting great things from God. “To Him be the glory .” We cannot ask or imagine anything too big for God to do for us. The key is: wanting the glory to go to God.

I do not think that God minds, if we become mighty leaders, on this earth. as long as our earnest desire is to serve those around us and kneel humbly at the feet of Jesus someday, and offer Him our crown.
Just like we delight in the accomplishments and achievements of our children. I think that God delights , in our outstanding merits; when our heart truly belongs to Him.
Then everything that we do should come from a heart that wants to please Him and bring glory and honor to Him. May God accomplish in us, more than anything we can ask or think, AND to Him be the praise, for the accomplishment in our life!
