G.U.T.S. #41- Glorify, Uplift and Trust the Saviour

I am occasionally asked, “What happened to the G.U.T.S. Acrostics? Of course this is a series of word games based on the letters GUTS. Regarding the subject of not writing them lately, all I can say is: My bad. It has been June of last year since I published G.U.T.S.#40 – Get Used To Stages. And I have developed 86 of them so far.

So at my current rate, I will be 100 before I publish them all. – – – Well, at least we have something to look forward to…… LOL, but literally. So, without further delay, here is another installment. G.U.T.S. #41 – Glorify, Uplift and Trust the Savior.

eyes on Jesus totally committed He never takes His eyes of us

I enjoy being very open-minded. I practice respecting people from all kinds of belief systems. The older I get, the more tolerant and broad-minded, I become. Yet, regarding my own faith, I am very clear and assured in my personal belief system. I am a follower of Jesus Christ. Though I respect and appreciate people of many belief backgrounds. My way personally is very clear. I am a Christian. I am a follower of Christ.

following jesus

Christ has made Himself very known to me. His reliable hand of help and guidance has been the most certain truth in my life. I have discovered that for me, when all else fails, Jesus won’t.

Keep your eyes on Jesus

Yet, in today’s culture, it is more and more increasingly unpopular to be a clearly announced Christian. Much persecution, ridicule and rejection tends to come along with the condition of being a follower of Christ. So in our day, it seems to take real GUTS, to be a Christian.

Yet, Jesus said if you acknowledge Him before Men, I will acknowledge you before My Father in Heaven. So, I make it a point to very clearly confess that Jesus is my Savior. I may fail many other things. But as long as I do not fail Jesus, I will be happy in my spirit.

I choose to Glorify, Uplift & Trust the Saviour. Glorify means that I try to do that which brings glory and honor to His name. Uplift means that I try through all healthy means to elevate Christ in my life and in this world. Honor means that I try to have the same nature that Jesus did. That I try to live my life in such a way, that it is a credit to my Saviour. Trust; well I work on that every day. God is my constant companion and best friend.

Bottom line. I will continue to be open minded and respect the views of other people and cultures. Yet, in so doing, I will practice G.U.T.S. #41 and Glorify, Uplift and Trust the Saviour!   – Slam
