Fires of belief, love, tolerance, and goodness can be greater than fires of destruction.

As most of my friends know, I never make comments of any political nature at all. I keep my comments of a personal and for Christ’s sake, nature. But I will weigh in with this comment in regards to the terrible situations currently going on in our country currently.

Each human being should get up everyday, with the desire to be right and do right. This should be the common Bedrock understanding of what it means to be Human. It should be the commitment of every man and woman, to be a person of good and truth. If you can look in the mirror and feel like the image looking back is trying to do good, then you can better live with yourself and others, no matter what is going on in the world.

Red-yellow-black-white pink-purple or no matter what your skin color or belief background. If you are a Peaceable person, who loves freedom and justice, then I promise you, I’m going to do my best to love and appreciate you! I cannot help what the world does. But I can help what I do. Let’s each one of us not lose the perspective, of understanding that our influence makes a difference. Believing in the importance of our own influence and power of own persuasion is important. It makes us powerful, instead of power less. If each one of us will shine our light, trying to be right and do right, then we can influence those around us. Who knows how great the influence of our efforts might be? I do not know. But I do know that I personally am going to try. I will love my brothers and sisters, as best I can; regardless of the terrible fear that seems to rule our world.

I’m going to get up every morning and look at the man in the mirror and with the help of God; try to do right and be right, and encourage my friends, neighbors and all those I come in contact with, to do the same.

I remind myself often, that Jesus did not change the world. He changed 12 men so radically, that they in turn changed the world.

I’m not blind to the fact that these events are horrific. I remember my father telling me some of the awful events that led up to World War II. And at that time in history, it seemed like the message of misery and the oppressive regimes of corrupt men would prevail over good. Yet at that time, men that believed in Truth, Good, Justice, right and freedom refused to believe that they could do nothing….. So they did something & joined together to overcome the forces of evil that threatened to darken the entire world. And the good that came from the victory, after that horrible time in history became a wonderful bright spot of the triumph of good in history that has for the last 70 plus years, benefited all of mankind!

When good men and women stood together for the cause of right, even though it seemed unlikely at the time, good eventually prevailed! Perhaps it can be so again…. If we will believe in each other, stick together, love one another and pledge ourselves wholeheartedly to good and our personal best. We can make a difference. Perhaps a greater difference than we realize.

Even though we are all, at times tempted with the notion that we are helpless. Do not give in to that notion. “It only takes a spark to get a fire going,” so the old Christian spiritual song says. And as terrible as these violent riots are. Maybe there can be a greater good influence, than the physical fires we see being set in the city streets on the news.

Maybe our own fires of belief, love, tolerance, and goodness can be greater than these fires of destructiveness. Maybe you and I as brothers and sisters of each other can bring about the mightiest fire, and start it with our match of faith. Maybe this fire of truth and understanding that comes from our hearts can help all humanity, learn to love and care for each other. Maybe our fire of good can teach others to commit to good. Maybe our fire of conviction can spread the 1 True Light. The true light that understands that the promise of society starts with God using us! It starts with you! And it starts with me!!.

If you and I will not believe the sour, pessimistic message that the world is too far gone, that people cannot be changed for good . If we refuse this false message of darkness and only believe that the Holy 🔥 Fire of Goodness will ultimately triumph. Then you and I by the grace of God can be the light of change! We can be the change that the world seeks. And We can be the change, that we seek to see in the world.

And if in some terrible occasion of martyrdom, war or injury, our light is overcome, then we will at least know that our life stood for something, something good! I refuse to believe that the fire of riots, discord, violence and destruction will ultimately prevail. I believe that the light of truth will Triumph. I believe that the promise of Peace will prevail. I believe that the hope of healing can help. I believe that the torch of Tolerance can triumph, over the flicker of falsehood and fear. And I believe that this wonderful development, can come from This Little Light of Mine. And come from This Little Light of Yours.

Especially if we will work together by joining our fires, in a band of belief in each othet: that we can still be One nation, under God, indivisible, with truth and justice for all.

So, I hope to start my own fire. And I hope that you will start your own Fire. And that way we’ll join our Flames together to see good prevail. Evil only triumphs when good men and women do nothing! Say with me and believe with me, “This Little Light of mine, I’m going to let it shine.” May God so help us turn the tide on this time of trouble, with The Fire of our Faith.
