Thoughts from the Woods – 1

As many of you GutsIsTheKey Readers know. I am an outdoorsman. Often when I am in the stand hunting. The thing I hunt the most is serenity and a deeper relationship with God. It is a wonderful place to deepen your relationship with the Almighty. And strengthen your own understanding of the treasure that is life. Here are some of the thoughts I had yesterday in the woods.

This moment is as important any moment. Any moment is as important as this one. There is value in each moment of our lives. God walks with us where we are at, wherever it is. We do not need to be in a certain place to experience God. We can experience Him where we are at right now. That is why the Holy Spirit Is called the Divine Paraclete. John 14:26

Paraclete

He walks along-side us where ever we go. That is why Jesus could say I will never leave you or forsake you. Jesus is with his devoted followers through the presence and power of His ever present Spirit.

We are restless until we include God on our thoughts. We do not sense our place and true value without His touch. Seeing God all around us is a gift.It is a special sensory perception. There may be a fragrance all around you that you do not sense if you are stopped up. Sensing the Holy Spirit is like this. Just like the air passages must be open to experience an aroma. Spiritual sensitivity is a fragrance only appreciated, with senses made alive and in touch with God. Some do not sense Him because their ability is clogged up. Communion with Christ can unstop the blockage. Seeking God can enliven the barren sense, to operate and help us experience His reality, in our daily lives.

The Lord of the Woods

Like the animals are inextricably linked to the land. So are we bound to the Spirit of God. We don't even know who we are without His help. We are like eagle's trapped in a cage. We were not designed to be earth-bound. But we never discover our spiritual identity and propensity to fly, until we are un-caged and freed to use the full power of our wings.
