I am writing this article about a very special event. Today, I am releasing my first Solo Book, published by Splendor Publishing and available through Amazon. Positive x Positive = Unlimited.

Several years have passed since I first decided to write this book. Writing is not a new task for me. It has been a life-long passion. In younger years, I developed and wrote a previous book.  A book 3 times longer than this one.  Yet, it wasn’t what I wanted to publish as my first solo book.  So it was shelved.  It remains unpublished. Who knows, I may come back to it. But I have moved on, in my writing interests. In the last three years, I have written 290+ articles, 2,000+ sales tips and co-authored another published book. (25 Brilliant Business Mentors and Their Tips for Success) and have another co-authored book coming out in December (25 Brilliant Speakers).

This book however is my first solo project. I am glad I waited. I resolved that my first published solo book had to be very useful to large numbers of people.  With this in mind, the subject matter of this book was born, from proven marketplace usefulness and application.

Nine years ago, I started a career selling manufactured and modular housing.  That workplace gave me the opportunity at store and regional meetings to present ideas, which helped and inspired co-workers.  In the process of developing and presenting these concepts to assist colleagues in the workplace.  I watched with satisfaction, as these ideas did magic and helped in the workplace.  I realized that I had found the substance for a book.  A solid resource that everyone needs:  power tools showing how to enjoy, get more gratification and satisfaction in our careers. Nearly everyone is interested in improving their performance in the part of their lives that consumes most of their waking hours.

The colleagues I presented these ideas to initially enjoyed the benefits of them.  It is their comments about these concepts that lead me to the commitment to turn these ideas, into a book. I saw that if these lessons gave them greater hope; then many others could be strengthened from them as well.

We all Hope that we can achieve more.  We Hope that we can find more fulfillment in our work. And most of us, Hope that we can improve our performance.  So the title was born, from this idea.  HOPE = High Octane Positive Energy.

Still, it seemed that the title needed more. Beyond HOPE, I was looking for a phrase that really summed the essence of what I wanted to teach in the book.   A friend who was helped by me, in many dimensions provided the thought I needed.  This friend who has since died made this comment, about these thoughts of mine:  “Tim, what you are trying to say is “Positive times Positive equals Unlimited.”  BINGO! I knew that was it.

     I knew, Richard had nailed what I wanted to say in this book. {Positive}² / Positive x Positive = Unlimited!  I knew that the multiplied effects of applying the principles of this book would do more than just add to people’s life and happiness.    I understood if people would really apply these truths and techniques on top of each other; that they would not only gain additional success but multiply additional success.

 So my commitment to write this book became strong, because I knew it could make a difference in many people’s lives. But this book is like gas in the pump at the filling station.  It will give you no power, until you put it in your tank.  These lessons must be worked on daily for a period of time, if they are to have the best possible effect on your profession and life, overall.
