God’s gift to us and Our gift to Him.

Each day that you live is a gift FROM God. What you do with it is your gift TO Him. I feel like so much of my life, I did what was pleasing to me at the time mostly and failed to look at life this way, as a gift to Him.

So now, that I truly try to live this way, trying to do God’s will; I try to start each day with a personal Focus time. A time when I plan and direct my thoughts for that day.

Each person that we encounter is an opportunity to spread God’s love, character and influence. But we can only do this to the degree that we let Him profoundly influence us. So this leaves me with a daily two-fold goal. To allow God to make & mold me into a better person AND in turn share that elevated nature and value to the people I encounter.

A man went out of his way today to make a difference in my life. I am always trying to do this with others but it really effected me strongly, to see someone else trying to do that with me.

This reminded me to refresh my daily commitment to appreciate the gift God has given me, by sharing & uplifting the lives of others around me! May we all make the most of God’s gift to us by making the most of our gift of service to Him. 🙂
