Championship on a Cross!

No matter who you are. There are times when life throws mean punches & you won’t feel good. The mettle you are made of, shows then; when you try anyway!

For most, the battle’s seldom won in a champion’s triumph & super recognition. It’s won in nitty-gritty daily struggle and being true to ourselves!

The name of my blog is GutsIsTheKey & it really is. We aren’t so much defined in life by what we say but how we face what we should face.

Daddy always made me fight a bully. He would even take me back & make me face him. I didn’t have to win but I did have to stand up for myself. I did have to fight.

The tough thing facing us is rarely as daunting as it seems in our minds eye. Most times, the bully wasn’t expecting such a fight from me. Facing the challenge most times scales it down to manageable size!

You may never have a Tom Brady moment when all witness you win the big game. But face your own battles & you will know your own great victory!

Our Master finished His life’s work with the words “It is finished” & hung His head and died.

The crowds left. The disciples fled. And it was Him alone with two thieves and His Father. But it was still His life’s greatest moment. Alone, bleeding & broken He did His greatest work! His championship game was on a cross!

Jesus on The Cross

Jesus changed the world through His sacrifice.

And so will you! The world may never know the good you do; But then again, That’s not who you should do it for!

Face your battles boldly with a courageous heart. Give your best to God who sees in secret and you will win a contest that doesn’t fade away & earn a satisfaction that lasts forever!

  1. This is a very encouraging word, Slam! You are so right that facing our afflictions makes them manageable. I loved it when you stated,

“The world may never know the good you do; But then again, That’s not who you should do it for!”

So much of what we do is behind the scenes, and many of our battles go unnoticed by those around us, and that is where our faith is tested and proven. Others may never know what we’ve faced or how we’ve conquored, but God definitely sees!

    Thanks for this wondeful post.

    • Margo, I appreciate the encouragement. Even though God’s true servants do what they do for the Lord. It is encouraging when others notice at times and mention it. Thank you for being an encouragement to me! Slam –
