New Life in Christ is a Process, Not just an Event.

New Life In Christ is a process not just an event.

New Christian life is a huge change! Learning Christ undoes self. We are naturally wrapped tightly around a self center. So accepting a new Master displaces the old master. Thus allowing Christ to truly be Lord is a dramatic upheaval unlike anything we’ve ever experienced bfore.

While it is true that Learning Christ undoes self & unwraps our self center. It is also true that walking with Christ makes us more self-aware. Self-aware is not selfish. Christ shines His holy light on us & we have a better understanding of who we really are in His light.

So Following Christ is meant to be a paradigm shift. It must be expected that it is a process of both learning and unlearning. It is not only that a new life must be adopted but an old life must renounced & discarded. Neither is easy!

For the Christian, Everything that was the old man must give way to the new man. And the old man always did what self wanted. While the new man displaces & replaces this old self with a man-learning to do what God wants.

Christian life isn’t an event but a process. God calls. We respond & open the door. God fills us.reveals sin & convicts us-Deals with us as children until we learn. We stumble in flesh until we yield. Then submitting to God’s way above our own. He cleanses-heals & restores.

New Christian life is like reversing the polarity of a battery. The new heart & the infilling of the Spirit is exciting. But the undoing & unseating of all previous selfish ways is anything but pleasant. John the Baptist said it best! He must increase while I must decrease.

Christian life isn’t an event but a process. God calls. We respond & open the door. God fills us-reveals sin & convicts us-Deals with us as children until we learn. We stumble in flesh until we yield. Then submitting to God’s way above our own. He cleanses-heals & restores.

So don’t get discouraged the next time you feel out of whack. It is likely that God is revealing something to you that you need to give to Him; In order to experience His new & refreshing Light & life. Seek God and rest in the trust that He will finish His work in u! Phil. 1:6

It’s okay that it’s not always easy to walk the Christian Life. That’s the way it’s supposed to be. Remember, It is a process not an event. And even though the process may be difficult, the New Life of Christ in us is worth any cost. Paraphrase:
2 Cor 4:17 our pain is only a moment-but our reward is an eternal weight of glory!

Always remember New Life In Christ is a process not just an event!

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

Galatians 6:15
For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.

Ephesians 4:24
and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

Colossians 3:10
and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him—

Ephesians 2:15
by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace,

Romans 6:4
Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.

Remember: New Life In Christ is a process not just an event.
