Lighthouse of Hope!

     Have you ever noticed that people can usually find whatever they are looking for? Look hard enough, and you can discover both good and bad in almost anyone and anything.

     Looking for the Good in the bad. Wow! that is a powerful lesson.  I learned that adversity is a part of Heavenly Father’s plan for us. If we look for the good and not the bad, we can overcome adversity or at least find value in it. Trying to find the good, even in difficult situations can help us become a better person, and let the experience strengthen us, instead of destroying us.

     The Power of Perspective: We have all heard that while one will look at a glass and see it as half full. Others see it as half empty. How you see it is up to you.  This is not just hokey talk. Take a new look. Try to seen the promise, instead of just the pain. You may discover something you have never seen before; even in your current situation.

Be The Good

     How much good can you find in the picture?  I find that we are far better served to have the eye of a visionary, than to concentrate on being a critic.  This notion that we are looking for the good will forever change our view, because our outlook is changed. When you look at a new scenario; try it, Look first for the good! Look for the good in the picture of your life.

     There is a psychology of beauty and health. Thinking attractive and healthy makes appearance radiate and health improve.. Thinking good contributes to appearing good. A good inlook will contribute to a good outlook. If you want to look good; don’t forget to think good. The first place this revolutionary development will show is on the happiness of your face.

     Symmetry signals healthy order and positive appraisal. Looking at things from a design of a healthy outlook can add structure to even the strangest situations. Perhaps your situations are perplexing. But the way to integrate them into an orderly view is by seeing situations with a clear & clean mind = a good outlook. Maybe the situation is confusing. But do not let your mind be confused. Look at your situation with an outlook of clarity and realistic optimism.

     Remember: Finding the good life always starts with looking for it. The Master of all teachers, Jesus said “Seek and you shall find” Proverbs tells us that as a person thinks in their heart so are they. Even-so, the possibility of finding the good life is strengthened by the resolute conviction: that this condition is what we are looking for and we will settle for nothing less.

     Today do your best to be your best.

     Today, I will plant my apple seed. An incredibly inspirational figure in early American history for me was Johnny Appleseed. He went around spreading hope and cheer and planting apple seeds in Pioneer America. In Johnny’s day, an air of fatalism prevailed. Many felt that the world would soon end tomorrow; so why try today? Johnny Appleseed was directly confronted by this attitude. When He was asked; if you  knew for sure that the world would end tomorrow; what would you do today! Johnny quietly pondered for a moment and then answered resolutely. “Today, I would still plant my apple seed.”
