G.U.T.S. #32 – Gravitate Urgently Towards Sunshine

Ok Guts is Key Reader; I know I am overdue for another GUTS installment, so here you go.

G.U.T.S. #32 – Gravitate Urgently Towards Sunshine –

If the earth stopped rotating around the sun, all life would perish. The earth must have the sun as its center and gravitate in a certain relative proximity to it. Even so, we do not flourish without being in a healthy gravitational proximity to the Son. S.O.N.

Healthy Balance

Failing to put God at the center of our life makes us out of balance.  It reminds me of the V-8 commercials; everything is still moving along, but out of whack; when we do not make God, the nucleus of our focus. We have an unhealthy, unsustainable path; when we do not center our motivations around a Him.

out of whack

For me, Life needs to rotate around Him, not Tim. Yes, that rhymes but nothing rhymes, when I get it backwards and center things, the other way around. You can substitute your name for mine. But a steady centering around God and the principles of faith, goodness, love and service are healthy anchors for a life. For any good building; a healthy foundation is everything. To build our lives into the best possible existence; we need this healthy foundation, of centering our life around a Higher Power.

motives centered around God

To have a balanced life; Put God at the center.

William Penn founded Pennsylvania and was a famous Quaker. He is noted as saying: “Right is right, even if everyone is against it; and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it”. Learning the rightness of focusing on God may separate us from some but it will unite us with God. And this is by far the greater union.

Attention to Creator versus critics

Sometimes, I struggle with inner ear problems. When this critical area of my motor sensory system has problems; I can feel like I am spinning. I can lose all balance and not be able to stand or function in any normal capacity. Having God correctly centered in the sanctuary of our hearts is the healthiest condition for our spiritual sensory system. Not following God as the absolute prime center of our lives can make us unable to stand or function like we should, in our daily life.

God at the center

Putting God at the center helps everything else fall in place.

It has been well said: “I know there is a God and I’m not Him.” Choosing to see the power of a wonderful force beyond us, humbles us to the prospect of usefulness and service. We know that in our path of circling The Sun, that we can still attain great celestial significance. We need also to know that the reason many lives burn up in needless habits & addictions, is having the wrong center. I choose to gravitate around God. That is the healthiest path, for me. I suspect that it is the healthiest path for you also.

Remember G.U.T.S. #32- Gravitate Urgently Towards Sunshine. It may take GUTS to do this but you may find it to be the greatest thing that you can consistently do.

I hope you do .

Hello Tim! Always a great write! It’s funny how the Lord works in mysterious ways! The other night I was talking with Him and said, “Lord would you be on my team?” I laughed to myself as that thought crossed my mind and then I said, “Oh no Lord, I want/need to be on your team!” The thoughts of God listening left me with a smile! Cheers Tim to the better team…His not mine! 🙂
