Be Relentless In Personal Excellence & Public Service!

Dear Guts Is The Key Reader. This entry is intended to be both personal and inspirational. Personal, because it is about who I am by nature. And Inspirational, because the characteristic I am describing will help you also, and serve you well in your own personal psychology.

personal development

I have been called repeatedly: “Relentless.” I guess it’s because I do not give up, until I succeed. People that know me well, know this about me.

Feared is the fighter (in the ring & in life) who wont stay down but comes back at you with increased ferocity & improved performance. That’s me!
If you knock me down, you better finish me off. Cause I’m coming back at you with renewed vigor and improved performance. Down is not out for me. It is just “Dig Deep Time.”

confidence, worth, value, personal identity

I teach  #Shotokan  karate. I love this pursuit. It gives me an effective tool, to utilize in helping others learn how to develop a successful, healthy and whole approach, to daily living.

I give my lessons to students, without charge, as a way to serve God & help others. This kind of personal philanthropy should be a part of every healthy life. Each of us needs to find ways to be true to our selves in service and finding ways to give to others. It is the healthiest means to express gratitude for the blessings in life, we have been given ourselves!

service & volunteerism

My students will tell you that I am “relentless” too. I push myself for personal excellence and I push them for higher performance levels and deeper understanding. They know that I am all about my #Shotokan code of conduct.

1- Seek Perfection of Character

2- Be faithful

3- Endeavor

4- Respect Others

5- Refrain from Violent Behavior

My students know that I live & teach these true words……. I wonder if Shakespeare had any idea that Polonius’s line “To thine own self be true” would be carved in history as a great truth. Do not run from your problems. With God’s help, face them. Overcome them. Then with God’s help, teach others to do the same.

Facing things - strength - courage - dealing with problems

View your life & profession as a daily opportunity to make a positive impact in the world around you. Be relentless, in this worthy goal of overcoming personal defects and contributing meaningful, public service that enriches the lives of others!

Some things I write change with time. But some of the things I write about are timeless. Such is the case with this article. I frequently tell people: “Life is a Get To, not a Got To!” And by that I mean that our approach to life means everything.

This BEAM (article) is all about the right approach to life. How to get the most from life, but more than that, How to give the most to life! That is my goal every day.

If you are someone who already gives your best; read this article for a charge to your batteries. And if you are someone who leaves good on the table, read this article for a kick in your lethargic bottom. Be Relentless In Personal Excellence & Public Service! Click the link to find out more!
