If you struggle with weight, like I do!

I have really struggled with weight & related health issues. But I argued to myself that I’m a big strong guy & being overweight was OK. Bull! A mini stroke (TIA) 6 years ago got my attention & inspired the most successful conditioning campaign in 30 years. I lost 90 pounds and experienced much better health.
I gained all but 25 pounds back. I could blame covid twice … or blah. blah. blah. But the responsible party looks at me squarely, in the mirror. But intensifying health issues including neuropathy and escalating heart issues & another mini stroke have helped me face facts & get back on the ball. Since January, I have lost another 64 pounds & I will not stop until 100. I am determined it will be permanent this time & have made many diet changes, to support this. These changes Plus double downing on my karate training are working. It seems much more difficult this time but I am certainly experiencing health benefits. At my age (63 next month), this is more important than ever before.
I haven’t shared anything about this in a very long time because my own struggle has been so difficult. I wanted something positive & certain before sharing anything in this department. Thanks be to God! I have both now. God bless each one of you who have similar struggles. I want to encourage you that you can do it! Make the tough decisions & do the right things. Your life is worth it. I live my best life these days. May you also!
