Health update

This is a Health update to my friends who have been praying for me:

I have had two subsequent TIA events since leaving the hospital 3 weeks ago, one fairly severe. However, I believe that God is merciful and I’m trusting His healing healing strength for a full recovery.

I am back in my karate exercising and teaching. More days per week than before. I see the new me to be wiser, leaner and meaner, at least in terms of #shotokan karate prowess. I have new martial arts goals, for myself and my students.

I have imposed upon myself a very strict diet with limited sugar, salt and carbohydrate intakes. (No salt or sugar added after the preparation of food). I call this my Discovery diet, because I think I will discover a new way of eating. I think different diets work for different people. I am exploring what works best for me. I am using a calorie counting program that is quite extensive, concerning what the nutritional content of foods really is. It must go through that program, before I put it in my body. I have lost 40 pounds since my all-time high. And 21 pounds since going in the hospital. I have used this time away from work , to completely revamp my thinking about my diet and to daily incorporate it in my living. It has been like a mini sabbatical. I go back to work May the 1st, God willing.

Spiritually, I have had a Revival in my soul. God has met me supernaturally through this experience. I am taking prayerful, well thought-out moves to do more in His service.

I am also working on a new book that I hope to publish by the end of the year. It will be called Dear Life and have 365 daily devotionals from my life and thoughts; to help people in all areas but especially in recovery from substances, abusive relationships and other unhealthy life habits & challenges.

What a blessing it is to have so many friends that express love and genuinely care for me. I am thankful for each one of you.

    Slam- on the mend!
