Training and Praying #Shotokan

When I’ve got a lot on my mind, praying and training go hand-in-hand. Karate Training often helps me release distracting thoughts, that keep me from focusing and concentrating on what God wants me to see. Training often becomes a form of worship for me. It helps me Center my attention on Jesus, by subjecting this flesh to helpful sacrifice and discipline. I realize this body is a fleeting object. But it is a tremendous gift from God to use for a season. Training helps me remember, to submit my whole self: mind heart soul and body to Christ. The sweat of a workout, often just pictures The Passion of my heart to get closer to God! Sometimes I have to work at getting things out of the way, to hear from God. Sometimes prayer is actually a labor. But a labor that turns into sweet peace serenity, by its exercise. I thank God for giving me effective tools to use in, helping me see Him clearer and bring me nearer. #Shotokan is one such tool for me.

  1. Colossians 3:17 King James Version (KJV)

17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
