My new career: Branch Mgr. – Hardware Imagination Tech

A big change is happening in my work career.

20 years of my past working life was spent in Furniture and Cabinetry related businesses. I spent 12 years with Hafele, in sales. A year with Pioneer Plastics, as a regional manager. Several years with my own Closet business. And a year with Hettich, as The United States Residential Coordinator. When I left Hettich in 2005, I was positioned to come on board with a decorative laminate Material Company out of Canada and stay in the industry. But a fall broke my foot and shattered the possibilities of this new position.

But not before I had established a reputation as an industry expert in the field. I wanted to continue to build on my career experience. But for lots of reasons, I just couldn’t seem to find the right position with the right fit.

So I went in the housing business with Palm Harbor. On in the same business to Select Homes. And in the storage building business with Bennett Buildings and Hometown sheds. All were good experiences but not in my chosen field.

And then 3 and a half years ago, I decided to try my hand in the car business. Although I am very thankful for the opportunity that Vann York has provided. I am resigning to accept an exciting new open door. It is an opportunity, in line with my career history and strengths. An opportunity, which will allow me to grow and develop even further in the field, in which I invested most of my career path.

As of the 22nd of this month, I will be the Branch Manager for the local office of Hardware Imagination Tech. A company I am very familiar with, from my days in the industry in Florida. I have many old friends and colleagues in and around this business. The possibilities of growing this business are exactly what I have been looking for many years. I will be able to remain locally and assist in the growth of this and develop additional North Carolina business. It will be a big challenge but I’m up to it and excited about it.

Having my evenings available, (unlike the car business) will enable mean to devote more time to my karate teaching and to the ministry. Also my weekends will be free and I can travel with the club to tournaments. Additionally, I will be able to do more in Christ’s service and build Dear Life Ministries.

And most importantly than, I will have more time to enjoy more of my lovely wife Dawn’s company. And definitely build a stronger Financial plan for our future.

I know this company well. Brad Smallwood that I will report to and work for is a great gentleman to learn from, as I take the reins of this local business. It will be a tough assignment but I am ready for it and excited about it.

Having said all that. Still, I accept this position with mixed emotions: …………………………………………………………………………. joy and happiness!!!!

Your prayers for wisdom and success will be appreciated!
